If I use your tip or recipe in the newsletter, I will send you a free bag of Adora Calcium! Enjoy and have a happy, healthy, stress-free 2008 - Michelle Gibeault Traub, R.D.

ADORA QUESTION OF THE MONTH
Why does Adora Calcium use Vitamin D2; isn't D3 better?

Adora Calcium Tip of the MonthWe chose to use Vitamin D2 because it comes from a vegetarian source (yeast). While some studies have shown that vitamin D3 is the more "active" form of the vitamin, most D3 comes from fish or lanolin (from sheep), making it unacceptable for many of our vegetarian consumers. The body makes D3 from exposure to the sun, and can also convert D2 to D3. In addition, a recent research study conducted by the Boston University School of Medicine concluded that D2 and D3 have a similar impact on the amount of active Vitamin D (25-hydroxyvitamin D) that is circulating in the blood.
