A Note from the Nutritionist

Welcome to the latest issue of "circle of health". March is National Nutrition Month which means nutrition is one hot topic. The American Dietetic Association has made this year's theme, "Be 100% Fad Free." I couldn't agree more with the concept, which is why we feature proven recommendations for healthy food and supplement choices from one of the most trusted sources, the FDA. This month has truly been a busy one with lots of exciting nutrition news. Visit our research roundup for a glimpse at some of the top studies, and don't forget to see our "Adora Tip of the Month" for a delicious, chocolatey recipe. Enjoy! - Michelle Gibeault Traub, R.D.

ADORA TIP OF THE MONTH!
Nuts for Almonds

Adora CalciumNuts make a great snack. They are full of hunger-taming protein and healthy fats, along with lots of other valuable nutrients. Almonds are my favorites because they also include a boost of calcium – 100 mg per ¼ cup serving. This makes them a great way to meet the excess calcium requirements that aren’t being met by your daily Adora Calcium. Just remember, nuts are high in calories so limiting yourself to a ¼ cup per day is best. Want to give your almonds a little kick – try this yummy recipe for Mocha Almonds. Warning, these are addictive!
