Why We Are Not Getting Enough Calcium
Calcium survey results

Calcium Survey results

Many of our readers participated in a poll as they subscribed to the Adora community at www.adoraSamples.com. Over 3600 people have taken the poll since we started in April 2006 and 36% of the people surveyed heard about Adora through a friend, so first of all, thanks for passing on the news to your friends!

The survey, conducted between April 2006 and July 2006, found that 58% of women believe they fail to consume adequate levels of calcium, even though an overwhelming majority of women between the ages of 20 and 50 correctly identified 1000 mg of calcium as the recommended daily intake.

People claimed they don’t get enough calcium because:
     1. they forget to take their supplements (25%)
     2. they do not eat right (21%)
     3. they are dieting (19%)
     4. they can not or do not eat dairy foods/milk (19%) or
     5. they have difficulty swallowing or get indigestion from calcium pills (13%)

One of the main reasons Adora Calcium was created was to help you remember to take your calcium. Haven’t we all waited our whole lives to hear our medical professional say “Take two chocolates a day”? In the poll 95% of people believe that calcium in the form of real chocolate would help them to remember to take their calcium.

Finally, 39% of people do not know how much calcium they need each day. So, find out how much you need here, then take a moment and pass this information on to a friend and show them you care.
