Here a Study, There a Study
...every where another study - by Ed Main and the Adora Calcium team
...Hormone replacement therapy is the answer...But now they say the risks outweigh the benefits...Wait, now it may be ok again--at least for some people...
...A low fat diet is the key to good health...But, now good fat may be just as important as low fat...
...Fiber reduces the incidence of colon cancer...Oh hang on, suddenly, the evidence is not so clear...
...Calcium and vitamin D are critical for bone health...however, do the latest studies now question this prevailing wisdom?
People seeking to take control of their health and wellness find conflicting information frustrating. Sometimes the media makes assessing the information even more difficult by reporting only the most controversial findings. What are you to do?
How do you know what is relevant to your health?
Your health is dependant on several factors including your genetics, environments, choices made throughout your life and your access to quality medical care. We offer three (3) simple principals to consider:
- Education: The more knowledge you have, the better equipped you will be to assess how to improve your health. Read, Research and Evaluate. Listen to recommendations made by medical professions, the media, friends, family and the latest studies. Do your own research in areas where your knowledge is lacking and always ask questions, keeping in mind that no one response is definitive.
- Integration: Looking for one single answer to perfect health is like looking for the fountain of youth. You will not find what does not exist. Keep in mind that good nutrition, a healthy environment, exercise and quality medical care are all important and work together. Your health, much like a puzzle, is made complete when interlocking pieces come together.
- Balance: Once you understand the pieces involved, balancing them is important. Too much or too little can adversely affect your health. You need to find a good mix that works for you and your body. You will also need to tweak your formula with age and as your lifestyle changes.
Now, when the next big ground-breaking report comes out, you can take an integrated, balanced approach to understanding the latest information.
Here's to your health and your efforts to take control!
